I’m gonna try to do a favourites pot every month, since I know they’re always welcome. For my Estonian readers I made a quick video, which you can find below if you’re interested. :) Not too many favourites this month – lip products have definitely been my favourite this month, I just love playing with different lipsticks. :)
Two favourites from The Body Shop: Peppermint Smoothing Pumice Foot Scrub and Hemp Face Protector. The foot scrub really IS smoothing and it leaves your feet absolutely baby soft, but I don’t recommend using it in the bath, since the beads can be really harsh on your… well… bum. :) I wrote about the Hemp Face Protector face cream here, but it also made it to my favourites. It has helped so much with my wintery dry skin, leaving it really soft and moisturized. I’d say it’s like a typical TBS body butter, but for your face, because it’s quite heavy and doesn’t sink in right away (but can still be used under makeup just fine. :)).
As I said, I’ve been loving my lippies this month. :) I just got three amazing new lipsticks from Maybelline – they’re the Maybelline Color Sensational Vivid lipsticks and my favourite of the bunch is “Vivid Rose”. They have a really nice pigment and staying power, but they’re also quite creamy and don’t dry out your lips. I’m in love! I’ll probably wite a separate post about these products. They deserve it. ;) The second lipstick I’ve really enjoyed lately is my Dior Addict Extreme lipstick in “Lucky”. It’s not as pigmented, but it’s really soft and creamy and leaves a beautiful red tint on your lips. Plus I adore the packaging! High-end products just have the greates packaging, let’s be honest… My last lip favourite is Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector. It’s like a lip balm/gloss that gives a really sheer pink colour and a subtle shine while moisturising and “perfecting” your lip with it’s smooth texture. I’ll definitely pick up a new one when I run out of this. ;)
Bourjois Healthy Mix foundation is kind of an all-time favourite, but I thought I’d mention it again. It gives a medium coverage (covers up all the smaller things, but not the bigger imprefections like red areas or dark under-eye circles), the packaging is really practical, it stays on the whole day and doesn’t feel too heavy on the skin. I recently bought a new brush set from Real Techniques, called The Core Collection and two brushes that came in there are my new absolute essentials. The buffing brush is perfect for blending out your liquid foundation (it can also be used with mineral makeup, powders etc) and the contour brush makes applying highlihter really simple. :)
