It’s time for March favourites! If you’re wondering why I do them in the middle of the month, it’s because I don’t want them to clash with my March empties, which I always do in the end of the month. So in the future you can always expect my monthly favourites posts somewhere around the 15th or the 16th. For my Estonian speaking readers I made a video, which you can find at the end of the post.
If you’ve been following me for a while, you probably already know that shea is my absolute favourite range from The Body Shop. I’ve used the body butter, the shower cream, the body oil and now I’m loving The Body Shop Shea Body Scrub. It smells amazing and is not too rough on the skin while still allowing a decent scrub. The only thing – you shouldn’t scrub yourself when your skin is too wet and warm, because then it will just melt away really quickly. What I also really like about this body scrub is that it leaves a nice oily residue on your skin, which you can also use for shaving your legs for example. Not sure if all their scrubs do this… So far I’ve used Chocomania and shea and they both do.
I discovered Batiste dry shampoos a while ago, but I was only recently introduced to their dry shampoo for dark hair. Batiste dry shampoo for dark and deep brown hair works just as well as any other Batiste dry shampoo, but without the white residue that brunettes have to rub in really carefully, so that it doesn’t look as if their hair is grey. The smell is also nice and the product also gives some volume, so sometimes I use it on clean hair as well. It just makes them more manageable in my opinion.

I recently tested out five different makeup removers for work and Garnier Simply Essentials Soothing 2 in 1 Make-Up Remover won. Why? It removes waterproof mascara like a dream, it doesn’t contain any perfume, alcohol or silly parabens, you can use it both on your eyes and on your face and it’s really gentle, so it doesn’t sting your eyes or irritate your skin. I’d say it’s an all over win-win product, plus you get a really generous amount (200ml) for a reasonable price (in Estonia it costs about 5-6 euros).
I’ve been trying to be more natural with my skin care lately, so I’m really happy that I discovered jojoba oil. It has replaced my regular nighttime moisturiser and I can already see how it has improved my skin. I apply it before bed and wake up with soft, moisturised skin and my skin tone seems more even. I’ve noticed that it has also reduced some of the redness on my cheeks. Jojoba oil can also be used for your hair, nails and even as a makeup remover, so I really suggest trying it out. I also love the fact that it doesn’t have a strong scent.
Adding some colour on your eyes is a really big trend for spring and I really like how Make Up Store’s mossy green eye pencil “Desert Flower” compliments my own green eyes. The texture of the pencil is really creamy, yet it stays put the whole day. I’m also interested in getting a purple one, since they say it makes green eyes stand out even more.
I used to be glued to my eyebrow pencil, but now I can’t remember the last time I used one. I’ve been all about eyebrow powder lately. I found this Artdeco Eye Brow Powder (#5) for about 4-5 euros. You can use it really lightly, but it can also be built up fr a darker brow. It goes hand in hand with my eyebrow pencil by Real Techniques.
Ja nüüd, kõik mu armsad Eesti lugejad. Teid rõõmustan ma sellekuistes lemmikutes hoopis videoga!
Ärge siis unustage alt paremalt nurgast HD-kvaliteeti valida! ;)
