It’s not often that I take my makeup bag with me to work or wherever else I’m going – it only happens when I’ve overslept and need to apply all of my makeup later on in the day. There are some things, though, that I like to keep in my handbag. I don’t always need them, but the day one of these things is left behind is the day I most definitely need it. :D
Tangle Teezer compact hair brush*. Worth all the hype it gets: good on both dry and wet hair, doesn’t pull or tug, gets rid of every single knot. Absolutely perfect especially if you have long hair (or extensions like I do).
M.A.C Pro Longwear concealer. Full-coverage concealer can really save the day, especially if you have problem skin. I just tab a little bit of this on with my (clean!) finger whenever I feel it’s necessary.
Chanel Crayon Sourcils eyebrow pencil*. I fill in my eyebrows every morning with powder (Artdeco), but for touch ups I prefer a pencil. It’s just much quicker and easier, no need to bring a separate eyebrow brush along.
YSL Rouge Volupte Sheer Candy No.8 “Iced Plum”. If I’m wearing a certain lipstick, I’ll of course bring that, but if not, I prefer balmy lip products that also add just a tiny bit of colour. YSL Sheer Candy (and also Rouge Volupte Shine) is perfect for that!
Chanel Natural Finish pressed powder. Powder is always good to have for touch up, plus this one has a pretty case with a convenient mirror inside. I use it with a tiny kabuki brush I got from H&M.
Victoria’s Secret Victoria perfume. Victoria is my favourite scent from VS and I got mine in a rollerball bottle – perfect to just throw in your makeup bag, doesn’t add much weight, but gives such a beautiful fresh scent when you feel like it. :)
Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream Skin Protectant. I mostly use it as a lip balm, but it’s just such a versatile product (wrote more here). I haven’t gone a day without this thing for three years now I think… :D
