Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Volupte Sheer Candy “Iced Plum”. More like a balm than a lipstick, this reminds me of all the glossy balms out there, but it has to be one of my favourites. It gives a good tint of purple, while moisturizing your lips and making them look plump and shiny.
M.A.C “Rebel”. This shade is gorgeous – a deep purple with blue undertones. My expectations were higher, though. Mostly because it wears off in a bad way, leaving you “bloody” lips. It can also dry out your lips a little bit. I wish it had a different texture, then it would be perfect.
Avon Ultra Color Bold “Hi-Def Plum”. It’s basically a fuchsia pink shade with strong purple undertones. I love the pigmentation and the finish it gives. Avon Ultra Color lipsticks have super nice quality, but the price is so cheap!
Avon Ultra Color “Oxford Wine”. It has slightly more reddish undertones than M.A.C “Rebel”, but overall would be a great cheap dupe for it. I love the texture and lasting power, although I must say, with these kinds of tones, I would prefer a more matte finish.
M.A.C “Up the Amp”. It’s pretty much the Holy grail of purple lipsticks if you’re loving them and that’s why I bought it. Though I must say, it’s a bit too blue for my liking, it’s a beautiful shade nevertheless!
NB! Weirdly enough, this post is missing my all time favourite purple (I tossed it, it was already 3 years old). Rimmel Lasting Finish “Royalty” to me just is the one and only perfect purple and I will soon repurchase. Google it and if you love purple lipsticks, you will definitely love “Royalty”!
