Kui varem tegin used up ehk lõpuni kasutatud toodete arvustusi enam-vähem igakuiselt, siis otsustasin need jätta hooajalisteks. :)
From now on, I’ll be doing my product empties posts every three months. This way there’s more products and it’s more interesting for you as well. So here’s everything I used up in summer and my final opinion about the products.
BODY CARE. & Other Stories Lemon Daydream Body Scrub has such a pleasant fresh lemon scent and I love the texture – it’s almost sticky, meaning that it doesn’t just wash away while you’re still scrubbing the skin. The skin feels soft and has a fresh scent afterwards. I’d definitely buy some more & Other Stories scrubs in the future. The Body Shop blueberry body scrub looks and smells like jam and does a very good job at scrubbing, BUT it lasts for maybe only 5-6 uses, which for a 17€ product is just not enough. Three body washes this month, Brezza Mediterrane aromatic body wash and two big 500ml bottles of Creightons bath and shower gel. They all did their jobs well, so there’s not really much to say about a body wash. They smell good and got me clean, didn’t dry out the skin.
SKIN CARE. Makeup removing wipes have been good friends of mine during all those little summer. While at home I use Huggies baby wipes, when I go away, I take a smaller pack with me – Simple Kind to Skin Cleansing Facial Wipes remove makeup very efficiently, while being soft and scent free, so I enjoyed using those. Simple Spotless Skin Quick Fix Cleansing Wipes therefore, while being good at removing makeup, had quite a strong alcohol scent to them. They didn’t irritate my eyes though, so they were just fine… But in general I just feel that spending money on facial wipes is a waste of money… Unless they’re 2€ baby wipes that come with 100 in a pack and do the same job. ;) While we’re talking about removing makeup, Garnier Express 2in1 Eye Make-Up Remover is great! It’s efficient, you don’t need a lot for one use and it doesn’t leave an oily residue on your skin. The bottle is cute and its size travel friendly. I’ve been playing around with Australian skin care brand Alexami for a while now and first product to run out was Alexami Hydrating Toning Mist. I loved this one, since it was great both as a toner and as a simple refreshing mist. I mostly used it in the morning to wake up my skin. It feels lovely on the skin and I love the natural ingredients and feeling that Alexami products have.
HAIR. At first, me and Tigi Bed Head Masterpiece Hair Spray got a long just fine, but then the strong energy drink like scent started bothering me more and more, plus it made my hair just way too sticky… So we said our goodbyes. It gives beautiful shine, yes, but it’s definitely not best if you want to add some volume or need to use a lot. Wella Extra Volume Styling Mousse did a great job at giving volume to my hair (and it has such a nice hair salon scent!), but while my hair had volume after blow drying, it looked dull. Since then, I’ve discovered a much better (and cheaper) one from L’Oreal Studio Line that gives volume AND shine to my hair.
PERFUME & MANICURE. Salvatore Ferragamo Incanto Shine is such an unique scent. I’m worst at describing scents, but it’s something totally different to me, definitely not a scent you can relate to a thousand others. It’s not fresh, it’s not too sweet – light and airy, while something to remember. I loved it, but suddenly got bored and moved on. Two bottles of this was my limit. Usually I don’t keep my perfume samples, but Betty Barclay Precious Moments is such a nice (and very sweet) perfume that I just had to mention it and I also kept a sample pack pof Bvlgari Omnia Beauty Oil. It’s supposed to be used right after shower to moisturize your skin and give it a long-lasting scent… But the scent was not long-lasting at all. Such a disappointment! Maybe it was just my skin? I’m finally throwing away my OPI “Done Out in Deco”. We had over 2 good years before it became too glumpy to apply properly. OPI polishes age well, I must say! Some Maybelline Coloramas are only good for 3-4 uses for example.
Ongi kõik! Üks postitus, 20 toodet – loodan, et teile meeldis ja ootate juba järgmist, sügise lõpus ilmuvat postitust! :) Andke kindlasti teada, kas olete ka ise mõningaid nendest toodetest proovinud ja kas teie tunded nende osas on samad või mitte?
That’s it! I hope you liked this post (you better have, I spent hours on it! :D) and are looking forward to the end of November, when I do my fall empties. Meanwhile, let me know if you have used-liked-disliked any of the products shown above? ;)
