As I stepped into Sephora on Champ-Elysee, I told my sister that I might get the Urban Decay Naked palette for myself. Moments later I saw the 45EUR price tag and I told her that we can basically go now… :D The shadows in both palettes are amazing and the pigment was to dream of, but I had my priorities straight and such an expensive palette wasn’t on the top of my list… unfortunately. A few days later I was browsing in Superdrug and I saw that Sleek has a palette called “Au Naturel” that seems quite similar to NAKED. So I bought it, hoping it would be a bit like it’s 35 euros more expensive competitor.
Well, it’s not. The lighter matte shadows have hardly any pigment at all and even with the darker and shimmery shades you need to use a primer to get a decent finish that stands out and stays on. I don’t need to use primers with my Wet n’ Wild shadows and theyre even cheaper than Sleek, so there you have it… The shadows are also quite powdery, which is annoying, unless you want to get some eyehsadow on your cheeks as well.
The matte black has a nice pigment and some of the other darker shades as well, but overall this palette is a disappointment and I would recommend getting Wet n’ Wild eyeshadows if you’re on a budget or getting the Urban Decay NAKED palette if you can afford it. This upsets me, I’ve heard so many great things about “Storm”, I thought that “Au Naturel” would be great as well…
